- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Use 350 degrees for more browned bottom cookies.
- In a small bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together (flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg)
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the sugar and butter. Add the remaining ingredients and beat at medium speed until smooth. Mix in the dry ingredients and beat at low speed just until blended.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet, 1 inch apart. Sprinkle lightly with additional nutmeg.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown
