Fall is officially here, and if the last few weeks are any indication, there’s plenty to celebrate at C.F. Burger Creamery!
We kicked off the season with one of our favorite Michigan traditions, the Michigan State Fair, where we had the chance to celebrate our centennial year alongside so many of the customers, partners, friends, and familiar faces who have helped make the C.F. Burger story what it is today.
And now? We’re turning our attention toward crisp mornings, cozy recipes, holiday traditions, and a season C.F. Burger fans wait for all year long.
Yes, eggnog season is getting closer!
But first, we have a pretty great State Fair weekend to look back on.
100 Years, One Very Memorable State Fair
From the Butter Cow to the booth visits, good conversations, and all the familiar faces, we had a pretty great time celebrating 100 years of C.F. Burger Creamery with you at this year’s Michigan State Fair.
From our family to yours, thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and spent a little time with us. We loved catching up with longtime C.F. Burger fans, meeting new ones, sharing some C.F. Burger goodies, and hearing the stories and memories so many of you associate with our products.
There’s something especially meaningful about celebrating our 100th anniversary at an event that celebrates Michigan agriculture, local businesses, and the people behind them. C.F. Burger has been part of Michigan’s dairy story since 1926, and throughout our centennial year, we’ve been reminded again and again that the relationships built along the way are one of the best parts of reaching this milestone.
And, of course, there was one State Fair celebrity that was pretty hard to miss.
A C.F. Burger Connection to the Butter Cow
The Michigan State Fair’s Butter Cow is a tradition all its own, and this year, creating it was also a bit of a family affair for C.F. Burger.
Vanessa, granddaughter of C.F. Burger President Dean Angott, was one of the talented hands behind this year’s Butter Cow!
For a family-owned dairy celebrating a century in business, we can’t think of a more fitting connection to one of Michigan’s best-loved agricultural traditions. Watching so many people stop, take photos, and admire the finished sculpture was one more highlight from an already memorable weekend, and a fun reminder that dairy can be impressive before it ever makes its way into a coffee cup or favorite recipe.
Now, Let’s Talk Fall Food
The State Fair may be behind us, but fall is just getting started.

Our Eggnog has developed a pretty devoted following over the years, and we love seeing the excitement build as customers start watching dairy cases for its return. For many families, spotting that first carton means the holiday season has officially begun.
And after 100 years of C.F. Burger Creamery, there’s something especially fitting about heading into another eggnog season.
It’s one of those products that captures exactly what we love about food and dairy: familiar flavors, traditions passed along, and those small things people genuinely look forward to sharing year after year. So consider this your friendly reminder: keep an eye on your local dairy case.
